Amahoro Onlus

Amahoro supports the campaign of Caritas Italiana and FOCSIV, which have decided to work together for the love of the least, not to forget those who have remained on the margins, to build together a vision of sharing without which there is no humanity and there is no future.

For several years, Amahoro has supported around 300 Rwandan children annually through long distance adoptions, allowing them adequate education and nutrition.

Karenge

Karenge is a village in the eastern province of Rwanda in which 90% of the inhabitants are almost all farmers. Most children are influenced by multiple factors that hinder their schooling. The poverty of the family or the status of orphan and, consequently, that of head of the family makes them responsible for their brothers and for the home, inducing them to carry out heavy duties and cultivate the land to guarantee at least one daily meal. Such conditions are not conducive to being attentive during lessons and often family needs oblige them to stay at home.

objective

The construction of a kindergarten, primary and secondary school consisting of nine classrooms, reception, secretariat, toilets, kitchen and refectory serving about 800 children to respond to the difficulty of Karenge minors in accessing public schools, very far away. The intervention aims to offer tuition and school canteen together with educational material for local families who do not have this economic availability.

5) The computer for the entire period of studies (6 years) costs 350 euros

2) The school canteen has a cost of 50 euros

3) School materials (notebooks, pens, backpack, school uniform) cost 35 euros

4) Basic subject books for mathematics, languages, science and social sciences cost 40 euros

5) The computer for the entire period of studies (6 years) costs 350 euros
